The Cologne Convention Bureau (CCB) has published “Meeting Point Cologne” for 2020/2021. This annual publication presents event planners with important and interesting facets of Cologne as a destination for conferences and conventions.
The brochure, which is available in German and English, provides an overview of event locations, conference hotels and providers of event services in Cologne and the surrounding region. The editorial section focuses on topics from the worlds of business, science and culture and offers insights into the huge portfolio of possibilities for supporting programmes in Cologne. The brochure’s focal points include several interviews with inspiring personalities such as the ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer.
“The 53,400 events with 4.4 million participants that were held in 2019 illustrate the strength of the MICE sector in Cologne. These figures document the relevance and the economic power for the city. The ‘Meeting Point Cologne’ brochure categorizes our areas of expertise and aims to raise Cologne’s profile with event planners in the present time as well. We need to maintain and strengthen the great significance and appeal of the promotable business trips segment and the structural conditions associated with them in order to make it possible to hold specialized events in Cologne,” says Dr. Jürgen Amann, CEO of the Cologne Tourist Board.
Filiz Ük, Head of the CCB adds, “Together with our partners, we are available to our customers during this period as well. Through our work we would like to draw event planners’ attention to Cologne and the players in its event sector.”
All the content of the new “Meeting Point Cologne” brochure is also available online as an e-paper and at locations.cologne. There event planners can also find the dates of trade fairs, congresses and scientific events, as well as a presentation of the CCB and the services it offers.
