YOTEL’s Malaysian Debut: Announcing a New Landmark Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

YOTEL, in collaboration with High Street Holdings, has made a significant stride in its expansion plans by announcing the launch of YOTEL Kuala Lumpur, set to open in summer 2025.

This 290-room hotel, marking YOTEL’s debut in Malaysia, will be situated in the bustling heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Central Business District (CBD), reinforcing the brand’s commitment to its growing global presence.

Strategically located in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) district within the city’s famed Golden Triangle, YOTEL Kuala Lumpur promises to be a coveted destination for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel will be conveniently located steps away from iconic landmarks like the Petronas Towers, the offices of KLCC, the KL Convention Centre, and a shopping center. Additionally, it’s within walking distance of the vibrant shopping and entertainment hub of Bukit Bintang. The hotel’s proximity to the Raja Chulan Monorail and Bukit Bintang MRT Stations will ensure easy access to other city areas and a direct link to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

The hotel, part of a mixed-use development, plans to feature a range of signature YOTEL amenities. These include a rooftop pool and bar with stunning city skyline views, the multi-functional dining and co-working space known as Komyuniti, a fitness center, and a convenient Grab + Go snack station.

Daniel Yip, Partner at High Street Holdings, expressed excitement and honor in partnering with YOTEL, a brand known for its innovative, modern, and sustainable smart design and technological advancements. He is confident that YOTEL’s unique offering will be a significant addition to Kuala Lumpur’s diverse hotel market, attracting both business and leisure guests.

Hubert Viriot, CEO of YOTEL, highlighted the strategic importance of this expansion in Malaysia. Following the success of YOTEL Orchard Road and YOTELAir Changi Airport in Singapore, the new venture in Kuala Lumpur is seen as pivotal in increasing the brand’s operational cluster, distribution strategy, and brand awareness in Southeast Asia. Viriot views the Kuala Lumpur hotel as a flagship for the YOTEL brand and potentially the first of many hotels across Malaysia.

With Asia being a key territory for YOTEL’s growth, Kuala Lumpur joins other major Asian cities like Tokyo and Bangkok in the brand’s expanding portfolio. This expansion is set to double YOTEL’s current footprint in the region, with the brand looking forward to enhancing its portfolio even further in the future.
