IHG Expands Vignette Collection with New Luxury Hotels in Dubai and Kuwait

IHG Expands Vignette Collection in UAE

IHG Hotels & Resorts, a premier global hospitality company, is partnering with Aqarat, a leading hotel owner, to bring its new luxury brand, Vignette Collection, to the Middle East.

Two franchise agreements have been signed that will result in the launch of two new Vignette Collection hotels in Dubai and Kuwait, managed by United Hospitality Management (UHM).

The Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, Vignette Collection in the UAE, and Vignette Collection in Kuwait City are set to join Vignette Collection’s growing portfolio of luxury and lifestyle hotels. Each property under the Vignette Collection is distinguished by its unique character and commitment to positive social, environmental, and cultural impacts.

These strategic moves mark an important milestone in the expansion of IHG's luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the region. "The partnership with Aqarat and the opening of these hotels is an important milestone as we cater to the growing number of guests who seek experiences that differ from conventional hotel and resort offerings," said Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Vignette Collection is IHG Hotels & Resorts' premier collection brand and forms part of its fast-growing luxury and lifestyle portfolio, which already includes over 450 hotels and more than 100,000 rooms worldwide. This new brand allows owners to offer guests independent hotels with a distinctive identity while benefiting from IHG’s global scale and luxury and lifestyle expertise.

Aqarat's CEO, Talal Jassim Al-Bahar, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting that the Vignette Collection aligns perfectly with the evolving preferences of today's luxury travellers. Considering Dubai's status as a top-tier tourist destination and the continuous growth of Kuwait's hospitality market, Al-Bahar predicts that the two new Vignette Collection hotels will captivate both local and international guests.

The Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, now open for booking, offers a unique beachfront experience on the Western Crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah. Its modern design and fun-loving atmosphere make it an attractive destination for families and couples alike. Meanwhile, Vignette Collection in Kuwait City, due to open later in 2023, enjoys a prime seafront location with convenient access to the Central Business District, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travellers.

As IHG continues to invest in key markets and cater to diverse guest needs, the company sees great potential for the Vignette Collection brand in the region. The company's leadership anticipates that the unique stays offered by superior quality Vignette Collection hotels will garner widespread interest and looks forward to expanding the brand further in the Middle East.
