Nationality: The relationship between an individual and a country, typically through citizenship, which can influence visa requirements and travel rights internationally.

These establishments may offer introductory rates or special promotions to encourage guests to experience their new offerings.

Niche Tourism: Refers to specialized travel designed to satisfy specific interests or activities, such as culinary tourism, adventure tourism, eco-tourism, or cultural tourism, focusing on providing experiences tailored to specific market segments.

Night Safari: A guided tour designed to observe nocturnal wildlife in their natural habitat, often conducted in reserves or wildlife parks, providing a unique perspective on the behaviors and environment of night-active species.

Nocturnal Tour: A tour that takes place at night, focusing on experiences and attractions best observed or available during the evening hours, such as stargazing, nightlife, or ghost walks.

No-Frills: Describes services, especially airlines and accommodations, that offer the basic necessities without any added extras or luxuries, typically at a lower cost.

Noise Pollution: Unwanted or harmful outdoor sound created by human activities, such as traffic, construction, or airplanes, which can impact the quality of the environment at tourist destinations, potentially affecting visitors’ experiences.

No Show: A term used when a traveler does not arrive for their reserved service, such as a flight or hotel booking, without prior cancellation, often resulting in a forfeit of payment.

Nomadic Tourism: A form of tourism that involves traveling from place to place without a fixed home, often for extended periods, seeking experiences and adventures over comfort and stability.

Nomad Travel: A style of travel or lifestyle adopted by individuals who choose to live a location-independent, technology-enabled life that allows them to travel and work remotely from anywhere in the world.

Non-Changeable Ticket: A ticket that cannot be altered after purchase, meaning the date, time, and route of travel cannot be modified, typically offered at a lower price than flexible tickets.

Non-commissionable: Refers to travel products or services sold by suppliers that do not pay a commission to travel agents or resellers, often including taxes, some fees, or promotional rates.

Non-last room availability (NLRA): A situation where certain rates or discounts are not applied to the last room available for booking at a hotel, often related to contractual agreements between hotels and travel agencies.

Non-refundable: A term indicating that a payment cannot be returned to the purchaser under most circumstances, commonly applied to cheaper flight and accommodation bookings.

Non-refundable ticket: A type of ticket that cannot be refunded if the traveler decides to cancel, change, or miss their trip, usually offered at a lower cost than refundable options.

Non-Resident: In the context of tourism, a non-resident refers to a person who visits a country other than where they usually reside, for a short period, and whose primary purpose of the visit does not involve remunerated activities in the country being visited.

Non-stop Flight: A flight that goes from the departure airport to the destination without any stops or layovers, providing the quickest route between two points.

Non-transferable: Describes a ticket or reservation that cannot be transferred or used by anyone other than the person whose name appears on the booking.

Normal Fare: The standard, full price of a travel service without any discounts, promotions, or special offers applied, often flexible with fewer restrictions compared to discounted fares.

Nostalgia Tourism: Travel motivated by a desire to revisit places of personal or historical significance, often driven by sentimental reasons, to relive memories or experience the past.

Nutritional Tourism: A niche segment of health tourism where individuals travel to destinations offering dietary and nutritional programs, workshops, and retreats aimed at promoting wellness and healthy living.
