Accor to Open Mercure Bangkok Future Park Rangsit in 2027

Accor has signed Mercure Bangkok Future Park Rangsit, a new-build midscale hotel set to open in the final quarter of 2027 within Future City Rangsit, a major mixed-use development north of Bangkok. The project, developed in partnership with Pipatanasin Co., Ltd., is positioned to meet rising demand for international-standard accommodation, dining and meeting facilities in one of the capital’s fastest-growing urban corridors.

The hotel will form part of a wider hospitality cluster that includes the adjacent Novotel Future Park Rangsit, creating a combined hub aimed at business and leisure travellers. Accor says the development aligns with its strategy to strengthen its midscale portfolio in Thailand and support the region’s expanding residential, commercial and industrial landscape.

A New Midscale Addition for Northern Bangkok

Located inside Future City Rangsit, a 550-rai mixed-use complex, Mercure Bangkok Future Park Rangsit will offer 236 rooms designed with Mercure’s locally inspired aesthetic, drawing on Rangsit’s character and urban rhythm. The site provides strong connectivity to Don Mueang International Airport and key industrial parks, positioning the hotel as a convenient base for travellers moving between Bangkok and surrounding provinces.

Guests will have direct access to Future City’s integrated components, including a shopping mall, lifestyle retail centre, full-service medical complex, sports facilities and premium office spaces. Together, these amenities reflect broader development plans for the district, which is emerging as Bangkok’s northern gateway and a growing centre for commerce and mobility.

Facilities and Integrated Hospitality Hub

The hotel’s ground floor will feature three restaurants and 1,855 square metres of meeting and events space. These facilities will be seamlessly connected to those of the neighbouring Novotel Future Park Rangsit, creating a multi-brand hospitality network suited to conferences, corporate gatherings and social events. Accor expects the dual-hotel configuration to enhance flexibility for organisers and increase capacity for large-scale functions.

Accor describes the signing as part of a sustained expansion strategy in Thailand’s midscale sector. With more than 1,000 Mercure hotels operating across 70 countries and over 210 properties in the pipeline, the brand continues to emphasise locally rooted experiences that highlight the distinctive character of each destination. Executives say the new hotel will follow this approach, integrating design elements and guest experiences that reflect Rangsit’s identity.

“Rangsit is fast emerging as Bangkok’s northern gateway, driven by thriving residential communities, major industrial parks, and excellent connectivity,” said Andrew Langdon, Chief Development Officer, Asia, Accor. “Mercure Bangkok Future Park Rangsit will meet growing demand for quality meeting spaces, dining options, and accommodation at accessible price points. By combining international standards with the character of the local neighbourhood, this hotel will strengthen the area’s hospitality offering and serve as a trusted base for both business and leisure guests.” He noted that this marks Accor’s third collaboration with Pipatanasin Co., Ltd.

Pipatanasin Co., Ltd. says the development reflects its vision for Future City Rangsit as a regional hub for tourism, business and lifestyle. “We are delighted to join forces with Accor once again to bring a new hotel to Future City Rangsit,” said Kaet Wanglee, Director, Pipatanasin Co., Ltd. “The development of Mercure Bangkok Future Park Rangsit is part of our broader vision to unlock the area’s full potential and capitalise on its growing demand for quality hospitality, meetings, and dining experiences.”

Wanglee said the hotel will become a key destination for travellers seeking convenience and comprehensive services within a single integrated district. The company expects the property to attract both domestic and international visitors once it opens in 2027, supported by improved transport links and ongoing real estate growth in Greater Bangkok.

Accor remains the largest international hotel operator in Thailand, with a portfolio of 82 hotels totalling more than 18,000 keys. The group continues to build its pipeline, which includes 26 additional properties representing over 4,500 rooms scheduled to open in the coming years. The Mercure Bangkok Future Park Rangsit signing is positioned as a significant addition to that pipeline and a boost to the region’s hospitality infrastructure.
