  • voco Al Khobar Al Andalus brings IHG’s fastest-growing premium brand to the heart of Al Khobar. With 717 rooms, it will embrace the brand’s relaxed charm while catering to both business and leisure guests near the city’s Corniche and major attractions.
  • Hotel Indigo Jeddah Gate is set within a vibrant mixed-use development that blends residential, commercial, and hospitality components. Just minutes from Al Balad and the Royal Court, it will focus on delivering locally inspired, experience-driven stays for modern travelers.

Aligning with Vision 2030 Goals

The hotel signings are closely tied to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to transform the Kingdom into a global tourism hub. IHG’s growing footprint in Saudi Arabia reflects a commitment to supporting the country’s economic diversification and hospitality innovation.

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts, India, Middle East & Africa, emphasized the strategic importance of the expansion: “With over 1,700 rooms across Jeddah and Al Khobar, this latest expansion strengthens our commitment to the Kingdom’s ambitious tourism plans under the Vision 2030.”

He added that the trio of new properties aligns with IHG’s broader goals of scaling its premium, lifestyle, and luxury offerings across key Saudi destinations.

Ashaad’s Role in Shaping the Future

IHG’s partnership with Ashaad is a strategic move that combines global hospitality expertise with regional development insight. Ali bin Mohammed Al Ali, Chairman of Ashaad Company, expressed confidence in the collaboration: “We are pleased to announce a strategic partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts to introduce three distinguished hotel brands across the western and eastern regions of the Kingdom.”

He stated that the partnership not only strengthens the country’s tourism infrastructure but also enhances Saudi Arabia’s global positioning as a premier destination for both domestic and international travelers. Ashaad’s focus remains on delivering innovative, world-class hospitality projects that resonate with the evolving aspirations of the Saudi tourism market.

IHG’s Expanding Portfolio in the Kingdom

With these new properties, IHG continues its robust growth trajectory in Saudi Arabia. The group currently operates 45 hotels across six brands, including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites, and voco. An additional 49 hotels are in the development pipeline, expected to open within the next three to five years.

The announcement from the Future Hospitality Summit adds momentum to IHG’s mission to support tourism-led economic growth while offering world-class accommodations that blend cultural relevance with international standards.

As Saudi Arabia opens its doors to the world, hospitality giants like IHG are making strategic investments to meet the rising demand for premium travel experiences—and helping shape the country’s tourism landscape for the future.
