Marriott to Introduce W Hotels to Ras Al Khaimah

In a strategic move to further enhance the luxury hospitality landscape in the United Arab Emirates, Marriott International, Inc. has signed an agreement with Dalands Holding and Marjan to bring W Hotels to Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah.

The hotel, W Al Marjan Island, is slated to open in the first quarter of 2027 and will be W Hotels’ first property in the emirate.

A Premium Leisure Destination

Al Marjan Island, developed by Marjan, is a luxurious archipelago located off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah, set against the scenic backdrop of the Arabian Peninsula and surrounded by the Yanas and Jais Mountains. The island is a popular leisure destination, known for its white sandy beaches, water sports activities, and proximity to local cultural and heritage sites.

What to Expect

The beachfront hotel will feature 300 rooms and suites, all with uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf. Plans for the hotel include W Hotels’ signature spaces like the Living Room, WET deck, W Lounge, AWAY Spa, and FIT fitness center. Additionally, the property will offer three restaurants and retail spaces, aimed at creating a luxurious and trendy environment for guests.

Industry and Local Economy Impact

Saurabh Gupta, CEO of Dalands Holding, expressed optimism that the hotel’s iconic design and offerings would enhance the island’s attractiveness, while Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan, underscored its contribution to boosting Ras Al Khaimah’s global tourism profile.
