Michelin-Star Dining & Design Excellence: Hotel AKA Brickell’s $16M Makeover

AKA, a global pioneer in luxury hospitality, has unveiled a $16 million design transformation of its 36-story Hotel AKA Brickell, situated in the heart of Miami’s vibrant Brickell neighborhood at the Brickell Arch, 1395 Brickell Avenue.

The transformation, led by the globally acclaimed architecture firm Gabellini Sheppard Associates, showcases a series of enhancements that redefine luxury living. Guests are now greeted with a serene outdoor area, leading to a ground floor lobby adorned with light-oak wood-paneled walls and satin bronze mirrors. The 25th-floor lounge, reminiscent of a floating living room, offers panoramic views of Miami’s skyline, surrounded by lush tropical greenery.

One of the highlights of this transformation is the introduction of ADRIFT Mare, a restaurant and bar by Michelin-starred Chef David Myers. Set within an 11-story atrium, the restaurant boasts dynamic views of Brickell and Biscayne Bay. A mesmerizing installation of over 100 lanterns, suspended at varying heights, creates an ambient glow, enhancing the dining experience.

Larry Korman, CEO of AKA, expressed his enthusiasm, “We’ve reimagined a corporate design into something that truly embodies what AKA stands for. Every space now resonates with the calm and luxury our guests anticipate.”

Michael Gabellini, Partner at Gabellini Sheppard, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the shared vision and sustainable design principles that went into the renovation.

Apart from these enhancements, Hotel AKA Brickell offers a rooftop pool, Sky Bar + Grill, an upgraded Technogym fitness center, Leaf Spa, and the expansive Sky Lawn event space.

Located in one of Miami’s rapidly evolving neighborhoods, Brickell offers an urban experience likened to New York City, as noted by Forbes, making Hotel AKA Brickell a prime destination for both leisure and business travelers.
