Alaska Airlines, in partnership with Bank of America, has launched the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® card, a new premium travel credit card aimed at global travelers. The card debuts alongside the airline’s newly branded Atmos Rewards loyalty program and provides cardholders with exclusive benefits, including a Global Companion Award, Alaska Lounge access, accelerated status earning, and bonus points on dining and foreign purchases.
The Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® card is designed to strengthen Alaska Airlines’ customer loyalty strategy while giving Bank of America a new premium co-branded product in the travel market. With an annual fee of $395, the card offers both experiential and financial benefits intended to appeal to frequent international travelers seeking value, flexibility, and enhanced access to travel rewards.
Card Features and Global Travel Benefits
The Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® card introduces the Global Companion Award, a benefit available exclusively to cardholders. This feature allows members to cover a companion’s ticket when redeeming points for two passengers on the same itinerary, across Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, oneworld partners, and other global partners. The benefit is offered at two levels: a 25,000-point award after qualifying spend and annually on each card anniversary, and a 100,000-point award earned with $60,000 in annual card spend.
“The Atmos Rewards Summit card sets a new bar for what a premium travel card can be – globally connected, deeply rewarding and designed to elevate every step of the journey,” said Brett Catlin, vice president of loyalty, alliances and sales at Alaska Airlines. “We crafted this card from the ground up to offer unique, industry-leading benefits with outsized rewards and experiential enhancements unmatched by any other airline card.”
Cardholders also earn 3x points on eligible dining, foreign purchases, Alaska Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines purchases, with a 10% rewards bonus for eligible Bank of America account holders. Additional benefits include waived partner award booking fees of up to $25 per person per roundtrip flight and expanded redemption flexibility through hotel partner transfers covering more than 25,000 properties worldwide.

Travel Enhancements and Lounge Access
The Summit card provides eight Alaska Lounge passes per year, valued at more than $500, with access valid for the entire travel day and entry permitted for up to two accompanying children. Existing lounge members may share passes with friends and family. Through 2026, cardholders also gain access to a premium bar experience in Alaska Lounges, offering elevated wines and signature cocktails.
To expedite loyalty recognition, cardholders earn 1 status point for every $2 spent, plus an annual 10,000 status points beginning with the first anniversary of membership. Atmos Silver status is earned at 20,000 status points, while Atmos Gold status is reached at 40,000 points, corresponding with oneworld Ruby and Sapphire tiers, respectively. The Summit card thus offers the fastest path to status among Alaska Airlines’ credit cards.
The card also introduces an industry-first automatic travel delay benefit. If an Alaska Airlines flight is delayed more than two hours or canceled within 24 hours of departure, cardholders receive an instant $50 voucher valid for 48 hours, linked directly to their Atmos Rewards Summit account. Additional benefits include free checked baggage for the cardholder and up to six guests on the same reservation, as well as preferred boarding on Alaska Airlines flights.
Additional Perks and Loyalty Program Integration
The Atmos Rewards program rebrands Alaska Airlines’ loyalty structure, renaming miles as “points” and elite-qualifying miles as “status points.” The Summit card integrates directly into this framework, providing expanded ways to earn and redeem rewards. Benefits include waived same-day confirmed flight change fees and access to free points sharing with up to 10 other Atmos Rewards members.
“We’ve partnered with Alaska Airlines in launching the new Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite credit card at a time when consumers are increasingly prioritizing convenience, value and access to premium travel experiences,” said Lora Monfared, Head of Consumer Card Products at Bank of America. “This co-branded card unlocks exclusive benefits and rewards for cardholders and allows travelers to earn more points while stretching their spending further.”
For a limited time, new Summit cardholders will receive 100,000 bonus points after spending $6,000 within 90 days of account opening. According to Alaska Airlines, this bonus is sufficient for a business class ticket between Seattle and Tokyo, or up to three roundtrip main cabin flights between the U.S. West Coast and Hawai’i.

In addition to launching the Summit card, Alaska Airlines is rebranding its long-standing Visa Signature product as the Atmos Rewards Ascent Visa Signature® card. The Ascent card continues to provide the Companion Fare benefit, which allows a second ticket to be purchased for $99 plus taxes and fees from $23 on flights within North America operated by Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.
Existing Alaska Airlines Visa Signature cardholders will automatically transition to the rebranded Ascent card at expiration, with benefits continuing uninterrupted. New cardholders will receive the updated Atmos Rewards Ascent card upon approval.

The dual card strategy — Summit for premium global travel and Ascent for North American journeys — expands the airline’s reach across diverse traveler needs in a competitive credit card market.
