All Nippon Airways (ANA) and The Pokemon Company have unveiled the design for the Blue Pokemon Jet, the third and final aircraft in a three plane collaboration marking Pokemon’s 30th anniversary. The reveal took place on July 7, 2026.
The Blue Pokemon Jet will operate on domestic routes within Japan and is scheduled to enter service in December 2026 or later. The aircraft is a Boeing 737-800, registration JA56AN.
The jet’s design uses ANA’s corporate blue color as its base. It features Pikachu alongside water type Pokemon that first appeared in the video game series.
“With these three Pokemon Jets, ANA and The Pokemon Company hope to be a part of our passengers’ cherished travel memories,” ANA said.
ANA also announced a new collaboration with Pokemon GO. Starting July 28, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. local time, PokeStops and Gyms will appear at selected airports to celebrate the launch of the Red Pokemon Jet.
Passengers at participating airports will be able to take part in Raid Battles and Timed Research. Those who join in will have a chance to encounter Pokemon with a Location Background.
“Together with Pokemon, ANA aims to continue to create meaningful travel experiences and delight passengers around the world,” the airline said.
The Blue Pokemon Jet completes a trio of specially designed aircraft launched as part of the anniversary partnership. ANA has not yet confirmed full flight schedules for the new jet, saying details will be released on its website and dedicated project pages.
The collaboration extends beyond the aircraft exterior. ANA has introduced specially themed cabins featuring original artwork and airline designed amenities across its Pokemon branded flights.
These include headrest covers featuring the Pokemon shown on each aircraft’s exterior, available in domestic Economy Class. Limited edition cups featuring Pokemon characters and the 30th anniversary logo are available in domestic Economy Class and in Economy and Premium Economy on international flights.
Custom cocktail napkins featuring the collaboration and anniversary logos are also available in Economy, Premium Economy and Business on international flights.
ANA said its partnership with Pokemon reflects a broader commitment to creating meaningful travel experiences that inspire connection and discovery for passengers worldwide.
Founded in 1952, ANA has grown into Japan’s largest airline. It has held SKYTRAX’s 5 Star rating every year since 2013 and is a four time recipient of the Air Transport World Airline of the Year award.
