Explore Baku & Almaty with SalamAir’s Summer Flights

Oman’s first low-cost carrier, SalamAir, is set to re-launch flights to two of its most beloved summer destinations, Baku, Azerbaijan, and Almaty, Kazakhstan.

This move comes as a direct response to the high travel demand these cities garnered last season, underscoring SalamAir’s commitment to fulfilling its passengers’ travel aspirations.

Last year, Baku and Almaty emerged as highly sought-after destinations among travelers, admired for their rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and diverse attractions. SalamAir’s decision to resume these flights is driven by their enduring popularity and impressive seat occupancy rates of 85% and 87%, respectively, signaling robust demand.

Capt. Ahmed Al Shidhani, Acting CEO of SalamAir, expressed excitement over the return of these routes, attributing the decision to positive customer feedback and the unique allure of both cities. The airline is eager to offer its passengers the opportunity to explore the distinct cultural and scenic beauty of Baku and Almaty once again.

Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest city, offers visitors a captivating mix of natural beauty and cultural depth, set against the backdrop of the Trans-Ili Alatau mountains. The city is a harmonious blend of modern and traditional elements, featuring vibrant markets, historical sites, and a plethora of local experiences that showcase the charm of Central Asia.

Baku, the dynamic capital of Azerbaijan, stands out with its ancient historical roots and modern flair. Located by the Caspian Sea, its unique landscape combines historic UNESCO sites and contemporary architectural marvels, offering visitors a comprehensive taste of the Caucasus’s cultural richness.

Starting 16 June 2024 for Baku and 18 June for Almaty, SalamAir will provide twice-weekly flights, ensuring a pleasant and hassle-free travel experience for all its passengers.
