Minor Hotels Unveils Avani’s Dutch Debut in Amsterdam

Minor Hotels is set to bring its Avani Hotels & Resorts brand to the Netherlands, marking an important milestone with the opening of the Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam.

This new hotel, happening in Q2 of this year, features 163 rooms and offers a unique canal-side lodging experience that fuses Dutch art and history, catering to both business and leisure visitors.

Located in the heart of Amsterdam, Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam positions itself near key cultural attractions such as the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The hotel’s design, inspired by the nearby Stedelijk Museum, marries avant-garde elements with rationalist architecture, showcasing a sleek glass exterior alongside vibrant and playful interior decor.

Guests can look forward to modern rooms and suites equipped with 60s-inspired furniture across seven floors. Amenities include power showers, coffee machines, garment steamers, yoga mats, and high-quality Bluetooth speakers, with select rooms offering floor-to-ceiling windows. Avani’s focus on convenience is evident with 24/7 in-room dining options that emphasize fresh, healthy meals.

The hotel also caters to fitness enthusiasts with its 24-hour AvaniFit gym and proximity to Vondelpark’s jogging tracks.

The lobby level introduces The Pantry, Avani’s signature dining concept, where guests can enjoy a mix of local and healthy food options, served in a casual setting or on the outdoor terrace.

Strategically situated near Amsterdam’s PC Hooftstraat shopping area and De Pijp neighborhood, the hotel offers easy access to Amsterdam Central Station and features a stylish boardroom for corporate events. It’s also close to the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre.

This introduction to the Netherlands follows Avani’s recent growth in Europe and precedes its debut in China. With a footprint in Asia, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa, Avani aims to double its portfolio to nearly 100 properties by 2026, highlighting its global expansion ambitions.

“Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam marks a significant milestone for Minor Hotels, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences across the globe. With this upcoming opening, Avani guests will be able to immerse themselves in the art-led design of our newest gem in the Netherlands,” said Mr. Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels.
