JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU) has made a significant move in expanding its transatlantic services by announcing the addition of two new destinations – Dublin, Ireland, and Edinburgh, Scotland.
Customers now can purchase tickets for these exciting new routes, with daily seasonal services set to commence in 2024.
From March 13, 2024, to September 30, 2024, JetBlue will operate daily flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Dublin Airport (DUB). Additionally, daily seasonal services from JFK to Edinburgh Airport (EDI) will be available from May 22, 2024, through September 30, 2024. These new routes mark JetBlue’s fourth and fifth transatlantic markets, adding to their existing daily nonstop services to London, Paris, and Amsterdam from New York, and London and Amsterdam from Boston.
Robin Hayes, Chief Executive Officer of JetBlue, expressed his enthusiasm for the new services, highlighting the success of the airline’s transatlantic offerings. “Our summer seasonal service to Dublin and Edinburgh will bring a new level of service and affordable fares to these markets, challenging the dominance of high-fare legacy carriers that have ruled for decades. We are excited to introduce the JetBlue experience to both business and leisure customers traveling to and from Ireland and Scotland this summer,” said Hayes.
