Holland America’s New 2025-26 South American Voyages

Holland America Line has announced the opening of bookings for its 2025-2026 South America and Antarctica cruise season, featuring extended journeys of up to 22 days filled with cultural, natural, and historical exploration, including visits to 16 UNESCO World Heritage sites and Biosphere Reserves.

From November 2025 through March 2026, the Oosterdam will set sail on various itineraries between San Antonio (Santiago), Chile, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. These cruises offer travelers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonders of South America and the pristine beauty of Antarctica. Iconic destinations such as Iguazu Falls, Machu Picchu, and Torres del Paine National Park are highlights, alongside unforgettable Antarctic scenery and wildlife.

Dan Rough, Vice President of Revenue Management at Holland America Line, expressed his enthusiasm for the diverse offerings of the region and the unique experiences available from tropical locales to glaciers and remote destinations. He emphasized that the mid-sized ships of Holland America Line are ideal for creating itineraries that include a captivating collection of South American ports.

The “South America Passage” cruises feature a 14-day itinerary between San Antonio and Buenos Aires, with overnight stays in Buenos Aires to indulge in the local culture and nightlife. Passengers will cruise through the Chilean Fjords, Strait of Magellan, and around Cape Horn, with departures on December 4, 2025, and February 22 and March 8, 2026.

The 17-day “Panama Canal and Inca Discovery” cruises offer a transit through the Panama Canal and two nights in Callao (Lima), with overland tour options to Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands. These cruises are set to depart on November 17, 2025, and March 22, 2026.

For a more extensive experience, the 22-day “South America and Antarctica” itineraries include four days of Antarctic exploration with departures on December 18, 2025, and January 9 and 31, 2026.

Travelers looking for an even longer adventure can opt for the Collectors’ Voyages, which combine back-to-back cruises into a 31-day comprehensive exploration of different regions of South America.

Holland America Line’s cruises offer authentic on-board experiences with local cuisines, activities, and immersive shore excursions that bring passengers closer to the cultures and environments they visit.
