Originally slated for a January 2024 debut, the hotel welcomed its first guests in March 2024. Situated at the crossroads of East and West, the hotel offers guests unique experiences immersed in Istanbul’s captivating history.
Constructed in 1895, the neo-classical Sanasaryan Han blends Istanbul’s grandeur with its cultural heritage. Designed by Ottoman architect Hovsep Aznavur and built by Migirdiç Sanasaryan, it’s within walking distance of cultural landmarks like the Egyptian Bazaar and Sultanahmet Mosque.
After careful restoration, Sanasaryan Han now showcases undiscovered artworks, photo exhibits, and a distinguished collection, bringing Istanbul’s spirit to life poetically. The building’s exterior and historic columns continue to enchant with their natural charm.
The hotel’s glass-roofed atrium, inspired by Istanbul’s springtime Judas trees, creates a unique atmosphere with a glass light installation reminiscent of fireflies. The curated library space and ‘The Library Bar’ draw inspiration from the largest library of Sanasaryan College, featuring handmade ceramic replicas of diplomas and contemporary art installations.
Swiss-based Turkish artist Harun Doğan’s ‘Momentum’ exhibition, featuring monochrome photos of Istanbul, touches emotions, capturing the city’s timeless allure.
With its elegant design, 6 suites, and 57 rooms framed by large neoclassical windows, Sanasaryan Han offers transformative luxury experiences.
