Tomorrowland Thailand’s 150,000 tickets sold out, to bring $176 million in economic benefits

Tomorrowland’s highly anticipated debut in Thailand has officially sold out, with organisers confirming that approximately 150,000 tickets for the inaugural edition were snapped up within hours of going on sale on 7 March. The overwhelming response highlights the global demand for the legendary electronic music festival as it prepares to launch its first full-scale event in Thailand that was announced in July last year.

The festival will take place from 11-13 December 2026 at Wisdom Valley in Chonburi. Organisers confirmed that the three-day event will welcome around 50,000 attendees per day, bringing the festival’s signature production and stage design to Southeast Asia for the first time.

Demand was strong across every ticket phase, including the exclusive First 20 sale, NFT-linked early access and the hotel package release on 28 February. When the worldwide ticket sale opened on 7 March, the remaining passes were quickly snapped up as fans around the world joined online queues hoping to secure entry to the debut edition.

Economic benefits of US$176 million a year

The event is projected to generate approximately 5.5 billion baht or about US$176.9 million in economic circulation during its inaugural year and 30 billion baht between 2026 and 2030 under a five-year commitment as reported by The Nation.

The festival is also expected to draw a high percentage of international visitors, with an estimated 150,000 attendees in its first year. This will include tourists from both short-haul markets, like China, Singapore, and South Korea, as well as long-haul travellers from Europe and Latin America as announced by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

Alongside the direct economic impact, the event will create significant job opportunities, with an expected 1,900 jobs in its first year, including positions for local workers and the transfer of knowledge through initiatives such as the DJ Academy and Festival Academy.

The Debut Edition of Tomorrowland Thailand

The festival will be held at Wisdom Valley in Bang Lamung District, a development area that spans about 237 acres near Pattaya which is located about 100 km southeast of Bangkok

Organisers confirmed that the Thailand edition will feature six stages, including Tomorrowland’s Mainstage, as well as the CORE and FREEDOM stages, both of which will be presented in Asia for the first time as part of this event. The remaining stages will be presented alongside new stages designed specifically for the Thailand edition, marking the beginning of a new chapter of the Tomorrowland story in Asia.

Tomorrowland Thailand Signals a New Festival Destination in Asia

With the debut edition of Tomorrowland Thailand now sold out, attention has shifted toward the lineup that will be announced in the months ahead. The main festival in Belgium typically features a wide range of artists across its stages, with names such as Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Charlotte de Witte, and Hardwell appearing regularly in recent years.

A similar range of artists could be expected for Tomorrowland Thailand. In Belgium, other stages often host different styles of electronic music, from techno and melodic techno to progressive house and harder styles, giving fans multiple options throughout the festival day.

The strong demand for tickets already shows that the event has the potential to grow in the future. With the first edition now fully sold out and the lineup still to be revealed, Tomorrowland Thailand is set to become one of the most talked about electronic music events in Asia this year.
