Aiming to exceed passenger expectations at every stage of the journey, Turkish Airlines launched a virtual flight simulator, Hezarfen Flight Simulator Experience, at the CIP Business Lounge in Istanbul Airport.
Combining modern technology with inspiration from Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi, who made history by being the first person to take flight in Turkish aviation history, this new flight simulator offers passengers the chance to ‘fly’ over Istanbul with Virtual Reality goggles.
Following the flight path of Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi, the route starts from Galata Tower and takes guests to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, Büyükdere Avenue, 15 July Martyrs Bridge and Maiden’s Tower, with 4K resolution footage at a 360-degree angle, and the ability to experience wind and flight movements.
On the subject, Turkish Airlines General Manager Bilal Ekşi stated; “We invite our passengers to become a ‘Hezarfen’ with our new flight simulator experience. We are excited to offer this experience that provides a bird’s-eye view of today’s Istanbul, flying from Galata Tower and to Maiden’s Tower, in the eyes of Hezarfen Ahmed Çelebi.”
