Semih Özdemir, the President of Kemer Enduro Motorcycle Club (KEMK), shared his views on this significant achievement. “We have crowned our race with the World Championship,” he proudly stated. “Our International Hard Enduro race, Sea To Sky, will be organized for the 15th time in 2024. We have finalized our negotiations and are set to organize the event as a leg of the World Championship in Kemer. This means more professional riders and factory teams will participate. It also brings bigger sponsors and more international media collaborations, which is a positive development for motorsports in our country and the promotion of our region.”

The shift to a more professional management style for Sea To Sky is a crucial aspect of this development. “Sea To Sky started with big sponsorships in previous years and continued with our efforts. Our media endeavors have reached a certain point, but with the World Championship, we will reach a wider audience through more professional broadcasting companies. This will enhance the event’s promotion and contribute significantly to the promotion of our region and international motorsports in Turkey,” Özdemir explained.

With the event’s new status, the promotional efforts are set to double. “In 2023, our races reached nearly 4 million viewers on our social media accounts in a month. With the 2024 event being part of the World Championship, and with more professional teams filming and broadcasting it, we expect this number to double. This is a great development for our promotion and our region,” he added.

The Sea To Sky race, known for its challenging terrain and breathtaking scenery, offers a unique experience for both riders and spectators. The event’s elevation to a World Championship leg will not only boost Kemer’s tourism but also place Turkey more prominently on the map of international motorsports.

As the event organizers prepare for 2024, there is a palpable sense of excitement and a drive to elevate the event even further. With the commitment to professional management and promotion, Sea To Sky is poised to not only meet but exceed the expectations of the global enduro community.

The inclusion of the Sea To Sky race in the World Championship circuit is a significant step forward for the sport and for Kemer. It is an opportunity to showcase the town’s natural beauty and hospitality, while also providing a platform for some of the most skilled and daring athletes in the world. The event promises to be a thrilling spectacle, blending the excitement of extreme sports with the charm and culture of Kemer.

As 2024 approaches, all eyes will be on Kemer and the Sea To Sky race. It’s not just a competition; it’s a celebration of endurance, skill, and the spirit of adventure that defines hard enduro racing.
