A Transit time of More Than Five Hours at Changi Airport? Hop On One of Four Free Tours of Singapore

Passengers who are passing through Changi Airport on a stopover can enjoy free guided tours of Singapore’s attractions.

The Free Singapore Tour is a programme designed for Changi Airport’s transit and transfer passengers, offering a free 2.5-hour guided tour for those with at least 5.5 hours of transit time.

On 1 April 2025, an exciting new itinerary – the Singapore River and Marina Bay Sands Tour, was added to the City Sights Tour and Heritage and Culture Tour. With six tours running daily at various times, there’s a tour to suit every schedule and interest.

A new tour was introduced on 1 August, which is a visit to Singapore’s premier island leisure destination on the three-hour Sentosa Discovery Tour. With daily tours running from 7pm to 9.30pm, this is the fourth tour itinerary offered by Changi Airport’s Free Singapore Tour programme.

You can register in-person upon arrival in Changi Airport or reserve your tour online through the Free Singapore Tour booking page, up to 60 days prior to your intended tour date.

Here are the highlights of the four tours.

From the park, you can enjoy stunning views of Marina Bay and the Singapore skyline such as Marina Bay Sands.

Next stop is Gardens by the Bay, a world-renowned horticultural attraction that embodies Singapore’s vision of a “City in a Garden”. Here, you’ll be wowed by the towering Supertrees, vertical gardens that stand as high as 50m!

The Singapore River was the cradle of Singapore’s early trade and commerce, serving as a vital hub for economic activity and settlement. Today, it symbolises the nation’s transformation from a trading port to a modern global city. This 2.5-hour bus tour traces the River’s path through the Marina Bay neighbourhood with a stop at the iconic Marina Bay Sands.

4. Sentosa Discovery Tour

Located off the southern coast of Singapore, Sentosa is an island that boasts pristine beaches and world-class attractions alongside vibrant dining and shopping spots, making it popular among both locals and tourists alike.

One of the first things to greet you at Resorts World Sentosa is the iconic Universal Studios Globe — a prominent landmark that marks the entrance to Universal Studios Singapore, Southeast Asia’s first and only Universal Studios theme park.

The Festive Walk offers a variety of dining, retail, and entertainment options which remains lively well into the evening, buzzing with people from all over the world.

Sensoryscape is a 350-metre immersive walking trail connecting Resorts World Sentosa to its scenic beaches and features six thematic zones — including Tactile Trellis, Scented Sphere, and Glow Garden — each designed to engage your senses in unique, different ways.

If you’re not catching the Wings of Time Symphony Fireworks, take the opportunity to explore the area around Sentosa monorail’s Beach Station and experience Singapore’s vibrant nightlife.
