Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel, a prestigious member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is set to welcome a new chapter in its storied legacy with the appointment of Ludo de Jong as General Manager, effective from April 2024.

It is expected to further elevate the hotel’s position as the premier social and business hub in Dublin’s regenerated Docklands, an area renowned for its blend of modern tech and finance headquarters, chic restaurants, and world-class theatres.

Ludo de Jong brings with him an impressive track record spanning over two decades in the 5-star hospitality sector in The Netherlands. His leadership has been instrumental in several high-profile rebranding, pre-opening, and large-scale renovation projects that have driven his previous hotels to market leadership. De Jong’s approach to hospitality is characterized by a deep commitment to guest satisfaction and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences.

Before joining Anantara The Marker Dublin, de Jong served as Cluster General Manager at NH Collection Barbizon Palace Amsterdam and Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam. His extensive experience also includes leading the opening team at NH Collection Eindhoven Centre and serving as Assistant Hotel Director at NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. His journey through the ranks of luxury hospitality has seen him take on senior roles, including a position on Marriott International’s event management advisory board during his tenure at Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel.

Known for his passion for gastronomy, de Jong has been instrumental in developing and launching several acclaimed food and beverage outlets, including Michelin-starred restaurants. His arrival is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the hotel’s dining offerings, further enhancing its reputation as a culinary destination.

Beyond his professional achievements, Ludo de Jong is an active participant in the European Hotel Managers Association (EHMA) and has been a volunteer member of Rotary International since 2017. His leadership extends to serving on the Board of Koninklijke Horeca Nederland Amsterdam (KHN), the largest organization representing hospitality businesses in The Netherlands. De Jong’s recent completion of the prestigious General Managers Program at Cornell University in New York underscores his commitment to continuous learning and excellence in the luxury hospitality sector.
