With 2026 coming up, Minor Hotels will be opening a further six hotels in the Asia Pacific region ranging from the re-imagined Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel to the first Avani in Sabah, East Malaysia on the island of Borneo; Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane in Laos; Anantara Xiling Snow Mountain Resort in Chengdu, China to Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel in Sunshine Coast, Australia.
Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel – Bangkok, Thailand

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel is set to unveil a landmark transformation in mid-2026 that features a multi-phase enhancement includes reimagining the hotel’s 338 guest rooms and suites
Guests can look forward to an elegantly reimagined lobby to the unveiling of a brand-new Kasara Lounge designed for exclusive comfort and style. Six all-new Garden Suites will offer private plunge pools and lush landscaping, delivering a rare resort-style escape in the heart of the city. The swimming pool area will be transformed into a tranquil urban retreat framed by greenery and elegant cabanas, while the wellness centre will emerge as a state-of-the-art destination featuring the latest Technogym equipment, an infrared sauna, and a dedicated Pilates studio.
The transformation will unfold across two carefully phased stages to ensure uninterrupted guest stays. Phase one, running through November 2025, will see the reimagining of the Montathip and Kannika Court guest rooms and suites, Garden Terrace Rooms, Kasara Lounge, swimming pool and terrace, fitness centre, and selected ground-floor meeting spaces. Phase two, running from May to September 2026, will focus on the Garden Pool Villas, Parichart Court guest rooms, the iconic Spice Market restaurant, the Kids’ Club, the grand lobby, the ballroom, and all remaining meeting and event spaces.
Avani Kota Kinabalu Hotel – Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

Avani Kota Kinabalu Hotel will offer 378 contemporary guest rooms and suites designed for comfort, connectivity, and style in the heart of Sabah’s vibrant capital. Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane – Vientiane, Laos

Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane Hotel will bring contemporary style and Laotian flair to the heart of the capital, just minutes from Wat Si Saket, Vientiane Night Market, and Chao Anouvong Park. The hotel’s 197 guest rooms and suites will blend modern design with local touches, offering its guests the choice of four dining venues, including an international all-day dining restaurant, a western comfort food concept and bar, and a Southeast Asian fine-dining restaurant.
