JetBlue has announced a significant expansion of its service at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, adding nine new nonstop routes starting in November and December. The move will cement the airline’s position as the airport’s largest carrier, with a peak schedule of 113 daily departures later this year.
The new destinations include Cali, Colombia—a first for JetBlue—along with Aruba, Cartagena, Grand Cayman, Liberia, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, San Pedro Sula, and St. Maarten. The expansion is part of the airline’s JetForward strategy to strengthen its East Coast leisure network and increase connectivity across the Americas.
Expanded Network at Fort Lauderdale
JetBlue will begin flying to New Orleans and Pittsburgh on November 1, followed by the launch of seven additional international routes on December 4. Flights will operate with varying frequencies, including daily service to Liberia, Costa Rica, and multiple weekly flights to destinations such as Aruba, Cartagena, Grand Cayman, San Pedro Sula, and St. Maarten. The carrier also plans to increase service on nine existing routes, including Boston, Cancún, Kingston, Punta Cana, San Juan, and Santiago in the Dominican Republic.
“As the top airline in Fort Lauderdale, with more departures than any other carrier on peak travel days, JetBlue is proud to keep raising the bar for customers in South Florida and to continue bringing them to the places they want to go,” said Dave Jehn, Vice President, Network Planning and Airline Partnerships at JetBlue. “By adding new routes and expanding service to top destinations, we’re giving travelers more opportunities to enjoy the comfort, quality service and value that sets JetBlue apart.”
Local officials welcomed the expansion, emphasizing its benefit to regional connectivity. “We are truly excited and welcome this expansion with open arms,” said Mark E. Gale, CEO and Director of Aviation at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. “With the addition of seven international and two domestic routes from FLL, this gives South Floridians more convenient and cost-effective ways to visit and enjoy these cities, whether traveling for business or leisure.”

Customer Experience and Value
JetBlue continues to emphasize its customer experience as a competitive advantage, offering free high-speed Wi-Fi, seatback entertainment, complimentary snacks and drinks, and its Mint® premium service on select routes. To mark the expansion, JetBlue has introduced promotional fares starting at $113 or less from Fort Lauderdale to its 46 nonstop destinations available this fall.
The new schedule also boosts frequencies on heavily traveled routes such as Boston, where service will grow to as many as 10 daily flights during peak periods. Other expanded routes include Cancún with three daily flights and Kingston, Jamaica with up to six daily flights over peak travel days.
Long-Term Commitment to South Florida
Fort Lauderdale has been a cornerstone of JetBlue’s network since the airline’s launch more than 25 years ago. The carrier has steadily increased its presence, adding 17 new routes from Fort Lauderdale since the beginning of 2025. In addition to new destinations, JetBlue announced it will open a dedicated Mint base for inflight crewmembers in Fort Lauderdale in early 2026, further strengthening its operations in South Florida.
With this latest expansion, JetBlue is positioning Fort Lauderdale as a major gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, while continuing to grow its domestic network. By December, the airline expects to operate 113 daily departures to 46 destinations, underscoring its status as the leading carrier at the airport and its commitment to South Florida travelers.
