LOT Polish Airlines to Launch New Rome–Krakow Flights in 2026

LOT Polish Airlines will launch direct flights between Rome Fiumicino and Krakow starting 30 March 2026, expanding its network in Italy and strengthening connections between southern Europe and Poland’s second-largest city.

The Star Alliance member confirmed that the route will operate year-round using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Flights will run five times per week during the summer schedule and four times per week in winter. The new connection marks LOT’s first direct service between the two cities.

Expanding Operations in Italy

LOT said the route responds to strong demand from both business and leisure travelers in the Italian market. “Italy is a strategic market for us, where we have been seeing significant growth for several years now. In line with high demand, we are expanding our operations here by launching direct flights to Krakow for the first time,” said Amit Ray, Director Italy, DACH Markets, Malta + India and Head of Global Corporate and Strategic Sales at LOT Polish Airlines.

The new flights will depart Krakow at 09:45 and arrive in Rome at 11:45 local time. The return service will leave Rome at 12:45 and land in Krakow at 14:50. Each aircraft will feature two service classes—business and economy—with onboard amenities for both leisure and corporate passengers.

Boosting Travel and Tourism Links

Krakow, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and cultural center in southern Poland, attracts millions of international visitors each year. The city’s landmarks, including Wawel Castle, the Main Market Square, and the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, make it one of Central Europe’s key tourist destinations. The new route is expected to encourage more Italian travelers to visit Poland while supporting inbound tourism and business exchange.

The Boeing 737 MAX 8, part of LOT’s modernized fleet, offers greater fuel efficiency and reduced emissions compared with previous-generation aircraft. The carrier currently operates more than 100 destinations worldwide and continues to rebuild its network following the post-pandemic recovery in air travel demand.

Tickets for the Rome–Krakow route are now available for booking through LOT Polish Airlines’ official website and authorized travel partners.
