LOT to launch Warsaw–Mallorca flights in summer 2026

LOT Polish Airlines announces a new seasonal route between Warsaw and Mallorca, with flights scheduled to begin on 30 May 2026. The Polish carrier plans to operate three weekly services to Palma de Mallorca during the summer season, expanding its Mediterranean offering for leisure travellers. Tickets for the new route are available through all sales channels.

The service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft configured with two service classes. Flights will depart Warsaw at 11:35 and arrive in Palma de Mallorca at 14:50 local time, with an estimated flight time of about 3 hours and 10 minutes.

Seasonal Mallorca service from Warsaw

The launch of the Mallorca route marks another step in LOT Polish Airlines’ strategy to strengthen its presence in popular summer leisure markets. Mallorca is one of Europe’s most established sun-and-beach destinations, attracting travellers from across the continent for its coastline, resorts and cultural attractions. By adding the Balearic island to its network, LOT aims to offer passengers a direct connection from Poland to one of Spain’s busiest holiday destinations.

The route will be served by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which form part of LOT’s short- and medium-haul fleet. The aircraft offers two service classes on board, allowing the airline to target both leisure and higher-yield passengers during the peak summer period. Operating three times a week, the schedule is designed to support week-long stays as well as shorter breaks.

Mallorca becomes the latest Mediterranean destination added to LOT’s network as the airline continues to expand its leisure-focused routes. The carrier has recently introduced services to Thessaloniki and Malta, responding to sustained demand for southern European destinations. These additions signal a broader push to diversify beyond traditional city and business routes.

Broader Mediterranean expansion planned

Looking ahead to 2026, LOT has outlined further growth in its European route map. The airline plans to launch flights to Málaga from 15 January 2026, followed by Bologna from 31 March and Heraklion from 30 May. Together with the new Mallorca service, these routes indicate a significant expansion of LOT’s Mediterranean and southern European portfolio.

All new destinations are scheduled as part of the airline’s seasonal or short-haul operations from its Warsaw hub. The expansion reflects continued interest among Polish travellers in direct flights to leisure destinations, as well as competition among European carriers to secure market share in high-demand summer markets.

With the addition of Mallorca, LOT Polish Airlines strengthens its summer 2026 schedule and adds capacity to one of the region’s most competitive leisure corridors. The airline’s growing Mediterranean presence positions Warsaw as an increasingly important departure point for holiday travel across southern Europe.
