Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles has altered pedestrian access within its Jurassic Parking structure, effective February 9, 2026.
The changes close multiple long-used entry points and reroute guests walking from the garage to the theme park and the adjacent CityWalk entertainment district as part of ongoing infrastructure adjustments to reconfigure traffic flow.
The changes affect several access routes on Levels 1 and 2 of the multi-storey garage; Level 3 remains open. Visitors arriving by car must follow newly designated pathways to reach CityWalk Hollywood and the main park entrance at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Parking access points closed as pedestrian routes are reconfigured
The Jurassic Parking structure is one of the primary parking facilities serving Universal’s Hollywood resort complex. Under the new configuration, several traditional walkways that previously provided direct access from parked vehicles to escalators and elevators leading toward CityWalk and the theme park have been closed.
Guests now encounter barricaded corridors and redirected foot traffic, with signage guiding visitors toward alternative access routes that funnel through remaining open sections of the garage. Reports from park visitors indicate that some vertical transport systems, including elevators and escalators that once served lower levels, are no longer in operation during the reconfiguration.
