Accor signs new Bali resort with villas set to open in 2028

Accor has signed a new resort project in Bali, Indonesia, set to open in 2028 as part of its growing Handwritten Collection portfolio. The Satori Resort – Handwritten Collection will be developed under an Operations Support Agreement with PT. Satori Nusa Dua Resort and will feature 154 keys, including guest rooms and private villas.

The project strengthens Accor’s expansion in Indonesia and reflects continued demand for leisure destinations such as Bali. For travellers, the new resort is expected to add more choice in the upscale segment, with a focus on personalised stays and locally inspired design.

The resort is planned to offer a distinctive experience shaped by the character of its surroundings, combining accommodation with a strong sense of place. Guest rooms and villas are designed to reflect individuality while catering to travellers seeking authenticity and connection with the destination.

“The signing of Satori Resort – Handwritten Collection reflects our continued focus on expanding in Indonesia’s most inspiring destinations. Bali remains a key market for Accor, and this resort will introduce a distinctive experience that resonates with travellers seeking authenticity and meaningful connections. We are pleased to partner with PT. Satori Nusa Dua Resort to bring this project to life,” said Garth Simmons, Chief Operating Officer, Premium, Midscale & Economy Division, Accor Asia.

The development is being carried out in partnership with PT. Satori Nusa Dua Resort, marking a strategic step for the local operator as it aligns with international hospitality standards and global distribution networks.

“Partnership with Accor is a strategic step that confirms the project’s level and its alignment with international standards. For us, it is important not just to create a beautiful property, but to integrate it into the global hospitality ecosystem, where service quality and guest trust are of paramount importance,” said Igor Bazanov, Chief Executive Officer, PT. Satori Nusa Dua Resort.

Indonesia remains a key market for Accor, where it is the leading international hotel operator with nearly 140 hotels and more than 28,000 rooms. The company’s development pipeline includes more than 40 additional hotels, expected to add over 9,000 rooms in the coming years.

The Bali signing forms part of this broader expansion strategy, highlighting sustained confidence in the country’s tourism sector and long-term growth potential in popular leisure destinations.
