Wyndham Launches Its First Hotel in Singapore

A new chapter in Singapore’s hospitality landscape unfolds as the iconic Peninsula Excelsior Singapore Hotel is reborn as Wyndham Singapore Hotel, following an extensive S$50 million (US$38.5 million) transformation. Now positioned as an upper-upscale property, this rebranding seamlessly blends the hotel’s rich heritage with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ global hospitality and service excellence.

For over 50 years, this historic hotel at 3 Coleman Street has been a defining presence in Singapore’s skyline. From its beginnings as Peninsula Hotel in 1974 to its merger with Excelsior Hotel in Year 2000, it had stood the test of time. Now, it is Wyndham Hotels and Resorts’ first namesake hotel brand in Singapore, which is also its flagship property here.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is the world’s largest hotel franchising company with nearly 9,000 hotels in 95 countries.

Wyndham Singapore Hotel offers a convenient location in the heart of Singapore’s dynamic civic, cultural and business districts. A short walk takes guests to iconic cultural treasures, including the National Gallery, National Museum of Singapore, and Singapore Art Museum, as well as historical landmarks like the Parliament House, and Victoria Theatre.

The hotel’s proximity to MICE destinations, such as Suntec Singapore and Sands Expo & Convention Centre, ensures fast and easy access to the city’s most essential business venues.

A brand-new Executive Lounge called The Study, offers exclusive benefits to Executive Floor guests such as a selection of refreshments, private discussion areas, and premium services.

Guests can unwind with drinks at the Bentley’s The Lobby Bar that serves expertly crafted cocktails and gourmet bites.

There will also be an elegant restaurant and bar on the top floor, opening in mid-2025, featuring stunning waterfront views, exclusive bar and culinary creations, and private dining.

Other enhanced facilities, include two swimming pools called ‘Stillwater’ and ‘The Falls’, a fitness centre, versatile event spaces, and expanded business and leisure amenities.
