euromic announces that two of its members have been appointed to top executive positions at SITE Global for 2026, marking a new phase of leadership within the international incentive travel sector.
Hasan Dinç, leader of o.d.s tur.key and euromic’s member in Türkiye, will serve as President of SITE Global from January 2026, while Victor Cañizares of Spanish Heritage DMC, euromic’s member in Spain, has been elected to the SITE Global Board of Directors. The appointments place both executives at the centre of global decision-making for one of the incentive travel industry’s most influential organisations.
The announcement follows SITE Global’s confirmation of its executive and board structure for 2026, which brings together leaders from multiple regions and disciplines across the travel, events and corporate engagement sectors. Dinç and Cañizares continue a longstanding tradition of euromic members holding senior roles within SITE, reflecting the association’s prominence in international destination management. Their appointments come at a time when the incentive travel market is experiencing renewed growth, prompting industry bodies to strengthen strategic leadership for the years ahead.
Leadership appointments for 2026
Hasan Dinç is appointed SITE Global President for 2026 after three decades working in Türkiye’s destination management and incentive travel industry. In acknowledging the role, he expressed gratitude to his colleagues and mentors, saying he feels “deeply humbled and grateful” for the opportunity to serve the global community. Dinç emphasises that the presidency is not an individual achievement but a shared responsibility, saying SITE’s members and chapters “are the heartbeat of SITE — the true foundation of who we are.”
He also highlights the role of mentors and former SITE leaders, noting guidance from long-standing figures within euromic and SITE’s global community. Dinç pays tribute to leaders such as Karim El Minabawy, his first mentor, and Nitin Sachdeva, whom he describes as a source of calm strength. He additionally recognises past SITE presidents including Tasso Pappas and Rajeev Kohli, stating that today’s leadership “stands on the strong foundation they built.” Dinç will work alongside SITE Foundation President Jonathan Richards as part of the organisation’s senior executive team.
In Spain, Victor Cañizares of Spanish Heritage DMC has been elected to SITE’s International Board of Directors for 2026, adding to euromic’s representation within the organisation’s leadership. The new role is regarded as a significant milestone for Spanish Heritage and for industry professionals who promote the value of meaningful incentive travel experiences. Cañizares joins a board supported by newly elected and returning members from various regions, contributing to SITE’s broader strategic goals for global industry development.
Expanding board and growing global representation
The 2026 SITE Board includes several new members with backgrounds in destination management, corporate travel and incentive programme design. Appointees include James Gallego of Muisca Travel & Events, Kari Vrba of Ameriprise Financial and Alex Wrotteseley of Into Africa DMC. In leadership transition roles for 2026, Jennifer Attersall of Wynford will serve as President-Elect, while Meenaz Diamond of Maritz continues on the board following re-election. Nitin Sachdeva takes on the position of Immediate Past President, completing the new leadership framework.
These appointments reaffirm SITE’s emphasis on global representation at a time when the incentive travel industry is diversifying. With demand increasing across new destinations and organisations investing more heavily in experience-driven programs, SITE’s leadership will guide policies and professional standards across its international network. The executive team and board members are expected to focus on strengthening industry resilience, developing educational initiatives and expanding SITE’s global membership footprint.
euromic notes that Dinç and Cañizares join a lineage of its members who have previously held senior global roles at SITE. These include Karim El Minabawy of euromic Egypt, who served as SITE President in 2024; Tasso Pappas of euromic Kenya & Tanzania, President in 2000; and Rajeev Kohli of euromic India & The Maldives, who served as President in 2016 and 2017. Their continued presence within SITE’s leadership highlights euromic’s longstanding role in shaping global standards for destination management companies.
As SITE prepares for the next cycle of strategic development beginning in 2026, its leadership team faces ongoing challenges and opportunities shaped by changing traveller expectations, shifting corporate priorities and the expanding importance of sustainable and community-focused travel practices. euromic says it looks forward to supporting the work of its newly appointed leaders as the organisation moves into what it describes as an “exciting new chapter” for the global incentive travel economy.
