Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is preparing to open its TRYP by Wyndham Didim hotel in one of Türkiye’s popular holiday areas, adding an international brand to the resort town’s tourism offer. The 4-star property is due to begin welcoming guests soon in the Altınkum neighbourhood on Karakol Street.
The hotel is expected to become the first property in the area to carry an international brand status. It aims to broaden Didim’s appeal beyond sun-and-sea holidays and attract visitors for meetings, health and cultural trips as well.
The 96-room hotel will operate as an all-inclusive property from May to October, then switch to a room-and-breakfast model in the off-season. That approach is designed to keep the hotel open beyond the peak summer months, which are often the main focus for tourism in the area.
The project adds another branded option to Didim’s accommodation market at a time when destinations across Türkiye are trying to diversify their visitor base. By targeting congress, health and culture travel alongside beach tourism, the hotel reflects a wider push by local operators to extend the season and increase year-round demand.
Didim has long been known for its coastline and summer holiday appeal, but the new hotel is being positioned as a more flexible base for a broader range of travellers. Its location in Altınkum is likely to make it suitable for leisure guests, while its planned service model also leaves room for business and specialist travel.
Wyndham did not give an exact opening date, but said the property was preparing to receive guests. The opening comes as international hotel groups continue to expand in secondary and resort destinations in Türkiye, where demand remains tied to both domestic and overseas travel flows.
Local tourism businesses are likely to watch the launch closely as branded accommodation can help raise a destination’s profile in international markets. For Didim, the arrival of TRYP by Wyndham signals an effort to move beyond seasonal dependence and compete for a wider share of the travel market.
