Samsonite has launched the Paralux Collection, a new line of modular, sustainable luggage and bags designed for global travelers. Unveiled in Luxembourg City and Massachusetts, the collection emphasizes durability, repairability, and eco-conscious materials, and is now available globally via Samsonite’s website and select retailers.
The Paralux line introduces dual-access suitcase designs, post-consumer recycled materials, and modular packing systems. The collection has received two Red Dot awards for Design and Sustainability, underscoring Samsonite’s focus on product innovation and environmental responsibility.
Dual-Access Design and Sustainable Construction
Paralux suitcases feature a dual-access system that allows travelers to open their luggage either from the traditional center split or through a front door that reveals the full interior. This design improves accessibility in tight spaces and offers flexibility for different travel scenarios.
The exterior shells are made with at least 50% post-consumer recycled polypropylene, while trolley tubes are constructed from 100% recycled aluminum. All fabrics, zipper tape, and linings across the line consist of 100% recycled PET plastic by weight. To reduce waste and prolong product life, the wheels and pull handles are user-repairable and designed for easy replacement without sending the luggage to a repair center.
Red Dot Recognition for Sustainability and Design
The Paralux collection has been awarded the Red Dot “Sustainability Design” and “Design” awards. These honors are granted to products that demonstrate exceptional quality, durability, and environmental responsibility. According to the Red Dot jury, the sustainability award recognizes items that are adaptable, made from renewable or recyclable materials, and produced in an energy-efficient way.

Versatile Range for Different Travel Needs
The Paralux line includes a wide variety of products such as Large, Medium, Global, and Domestic Carry-Ons, travel backpacks, and duffels. Each product is available in a color palette that includes Black, Stone Grey, Olive, and Midnight Navy. Key features include TSA-approved locks, double suspension wheels, and height-adjustable handles for added comfort and security.
Highlights from the collection include the 2-in-1 Backpack, which separates into a main travel bag and a compact Go Bag, and the Everyday Backpack and Duffel, designed for urban and short-term travel. Modular compartments and removable packing cubes enable travelers to customize their packing experience.
The collection is designed as a cohesive travel system, with backpacks and duffels that stack securely on spinner luggage for streamlined mobility. The launch is supported by a global campaign across out-of-home advertising, paid social media, influencers, eCommerce, and wholesale distribution.
