In a recent Cabinet meeting held in the capital city of Tbilisi, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibaşvili discussed the evolving relationship between Georgia and China.
Recalling his successful visit to China in July, Garibaşvili emphasized the positive trajectory of bilateral ties.
He stated, “As you know, I had a very successful visit to China. Today, China stands as the world’s second-largest economy and is among the strongest. One of our primary interests is to strengthen commercial and economic relations with China and attract more investments.”
Highlighting the objective to attract more tourists from China, Garibaşvili announced, “Henceforth, we have decided to initiate visa-free travel for Chinese citizens.”
It’s noteworthy that during the opening ceremony of the 31st FISU World University Summer Games held in July, Prime Minister Garibaşvili and Chinese President Xi Jinping had announced the elevation of relations between the two nations to a “strategic partnership” level. (AA)
