JetBlue is expanding its presence in New England with plans to launch two new transatlantic routes from Boston next summer, adding fresh connections to Europe for U.S. travelers.
The airline will launch daily summer seasonal flights from Boston Logan International Airport to Barcelona and Milan as part of its 2026 schedule.
The Barcelona service will operate to Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport starting April 16, 2026, while flights to Milan Malpensa Airport will begin May 11, 2026. Tickets for both routes are scheduled to go on sale on November 20 on jetblue.com, and the additions will make JetBlue’s Boston operation serve nine European airports in the 2026 summer season, including its first-ever service to Italy.
New Barcelona and Milan Routes Expand Boston Network
JetBlue describes the new flights as part of a broader strategy to deepen its role as a leading leisure airline in Boston. From its focus city at Boston Logan, the carrier already connects New England customers to destinations across the U.S., Caribbean, Latin America, Canada and Europe. With the Barcelona and Milan additions, JetBlue will fly to 77 nonstop destinations from Boston, including nine European airports next summer.
For the 2026 summer season, JetBlue’s Boston transatlantic schedule will include Amsterdam, Barcelona, Dublin, Edinburgh, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Madrid, Milan and Paris. Amsterdam, London Heathrow and Paris are planned to operate year-round, while Barcelona, Dublin, Edinburgh, London Gatwick, Madrid and Milan will run as summer seasonal routes with 1x daily frequencies. Barcelona and Milan are listed as new destinations for the 2026 season from Boston.
The new services build on JetBlue’s recent European expansion from Boston, which has already added Madrid and Edinburgh to the network. The airline states that the expanded lineup provides New England travelers with more nonstop access to major European capitals and cities known for leisure, culture and business travel. The carrier also highlights that these routes complement its existing transatlantic services from New York John F. Kennedy International Airport.
From New York-JFK in 2026, JetBlue plans daily or double-daily service to Amsterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, London Heathrow and Paris. While the New York flights continue to anchor the airline’s original transatlantic footprint, the Boston expansion positions the Massachusetts gateway as a parallel hub for European service, particularly for leisure-oriented routes.
