JetBlue Unveils New York Jets Aircraft for 2025 NFL Season

JetBlue and the New York Jets have introduced a new Jets-branded aircraft to mark the 2025 NFL season, expanding a partnership that has lasted more than 15 years. The Airbus A320, named “J! E! T! B! L! U! E!,” features the team’s updated logos and green-and-white color scheme, making it a visible symbol of New York pride in the skies and on the ground. The unveiling took place at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in JetBlue’s Terminal 5.

The new livery continues JetBlue’s role as the Official Airline of the New York Jets, a designation first established in 2009. The airline and team leaders celebrated the debut with a gate-side event hosted by SNY’s Jeané Coakley. Players including tight end Jeremy Ruckert and linebacker Quincy Williams joined Jets legends Marty Lyons and Erik Coleman to greet fans, sign autographs, and take photos with customers boarding the inaugural flight.

Celebrating Partnership and Team Spirit

The livery was presented as part of the Jets’ refreshed 2025 season branding. “We are so excited to unveil our third livery design with our long-term partner, JetBlue,” said Jeff Fernandez, New York Jets Senior Vice President, Business Development & Ventures. “Seeing this plane—and flying on it—is a chance to feel the energy, pride, and passion that define our team. It’s bold, it’s fresh, and it’s ready to carry fans into the 2025 season and beyond.”

The design swaps JetBlue’s traditional blue for the Jets’ iconic green, accented with white stripes along the fuselage inspired by the team’s jersey sleeves. The belly, engines, doors, and tail prominently display the Jets logo, ensuring visibility from the tarmac and in flight. According to JetBlue, the livery symbolizes not only team spirit but also the airline’s connection to New York and its sports culture.

“JetBlue has always been proud to call New York home, and no team embodies the passion and spirit of this city quite like the New York Jets,” said Stephanie Evans Greene, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Brand, JetBlue. “This refreshed livery is more than a new design; it’s a symbol of hometown pride. As the Jets take the field this season, this aircraft will take to the skies as a tribute to our shared roots that we’re proud to represent every day.”

Expanding a Long-Term Collaboration

JetBlue’s collaboration with the New York Jets began in 2009, when the airline became the team’s Official Airline. In 2010, the first Jets-themed plane, “JetGreen,” entered the fleet as JetBlue’s inaugural sports-branded aircraft. A second updated design followed in 2017. Over the years, the partnership has extended beyond liveries to include joint promotions, in-stadium activations, and fan-focused marketing campaigns.

The unveiling of “J! E! T! B! L! U! E!” marks the third chapter in this series of designs. The aircraft’s name reflects the team’s well-known gameday chant, reinforcing the connection between fans’ stadium experience and the airline’s service. For JetBlue, the livery underscores its commitment to showcasing New York identity through aviation, while for the Jets it provides an additional platform to celebrate the upcoming NFL season.

Passengers on the debut flight were treated to exclusive experiences, including Jets-branded gift bags with shirts and hats, as well as opportunities for photos and autographs with current players and alumni. The event highlighted the unique role airlines play in sports marketing, offering fans a direct link between their travel experience and their favorite team.

As JetBlue expands its fleet with updated branding initiatives, the Jets-themed aircraft joins a roster of liveries dedicated to cultural and community symbols. For international travelers arriving in or departing from New York, the plane is expected to become a recognizable sight at JFK and other airports served by JetBlue. The airline has confirmed that the aircraft will operate across its regular route network, bringing the Jets’ branding to destinations throughout the United States.

With the 2025 NFL season underway, the unveiling of “J! E! T! B! L! U! E!” reinforces the role of travel and aviation in connecting sports, culture, and community identity. The partnership between JetBlue and the New York Jets continues to evolve, offering both fans and passengers a distinctive way to celebrate New York pride at 35,000 feet.
