Blue Flag Criteria and Commitment

Beaches awarded the Blue Flag must meet international standards of excellence in four main areas: water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, and safety and services. The program is coordinated in Spain by the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC), as part of the global Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) initiative.

The Valencian Community’s continued leadership highlights sustained investments in lifeguard services, public accessibility, environmental programs, and water monitoring. With 48 municipalities participating, the region shows an unmatched commitment to sustainable beach tourism and global coastal excellence.

Whether you’re looking for wide family beaches, quiet natural coves, or certified urban stretches, the Blue Flag beaches of the Valencian Community offer something for every traveler in 2025.
