Heathrow Airport is inviting arriving passengers to participate in a fan vote between Team Liam and Team Noel ahead of Oasis’s final reunion concerts in London. The initiative launched as part of celebrations for the band’s Live ’25 tour, which concludes with two highly anticipated performances at Wembley Stadium on 27 and 28 September.
Between 27 August and 28 September, Heathrow expects to welcome 4.3 million arriving passengers, including more than 25,000 from Manchester, the band’s hometown. The vote offers fans the opportunity to show support for either Liam or Noel Gallagher immediately after landing in London for what is being marked as a historic moment in British music.
Airport Engagement Tied to Music Tourism Boom
The launch of the airport vote reflects Heathrow’s role as a key entry point for cultural events and rising global interest in music tourism. According to UK Music, 23.5 million music tourists traveled to and within the UK in 2024, up 23% from the previous year. International music tourists grew by 62% year-on-year, totaling 1.6 million visitors in 2024.
London remains a central destination for music fans, attracting 7.5 million music tourists annually and generating £2.7 billion in related revenue. Heathrow’s initiative taps into this trend, welcoming Oasis fans from around the world as they travel to witness the band’s long-awaited return.
Celebrating a Milestone in British Music
Heathrow’s voting stations allow passengers to engage with the Oasis reunion experience before reaching the concert venues. The fan poll represents a symbolic conclusion to the longstanding sibling rivalry between the Gallagher brothers, whose reconciliation has drawn global attention to the final leg of their tour.
“Heathrow is proud to provide passengers from across the UK and around the world with access to unmissable events,” said Daniel Edwards, Director of Services at Heathrow. “We are excited to join Oasis fans in celebrating the long-awaited return of the band, welcoming them as they arrive at Heathrow for a landmark moment in music history this September.”
Heathrow’s Expanding Role in Cultural Travel
With a record-breaking 84 million passengers projected to pass through the airport in 2025, Heathrow continues to position itself as a gateway to major international cultural moments. The Oasis reunion, widely seen as a defining event in British music, has been embraced by the airport as part of its broader passenger engagement strategy.
By integrating pop culture into its services, Heathrow aims to enhance the arrival experience for fans and tourists alike. The Team Liam versus Team Noel vote underscores the airport’s evolving role in connecting global travelers with the UK’s cultural milestones.
