An immersive exhibition on Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 5 called ‘T5 In the Making’ has been launched where visitors can discover the vision, design, and innovations behind the upcoming Terminal 5 (T5) that will be completed in mid-2030’s.
Jointly organised by the Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, and Changi Airport Group, ‘T5 In the Making’ will be held from 6 January to March 2026 at Terminal 3’s Arrival Hall and is free for all visitors. Since registration opened to the public on 15 December 2025, 15,000 visitors have registered for tickets to the exhibition.
Five experiences, one Changi story
‘T5 In the Making’ offers a unique perspective on how aviation has shaped Singapore’s story and continues to drive its growth into the future with T5. Visitors can explore interactive displays, experiential zones and detailed scale models highlighting the airport’s future ambitions.
Visitors will experience Changi Airport’s bold journey and future vision through five zones: from the airport’s strategic shift from the former Paya Lebar airport to Changi, to an experiential look at T5’s design, scale, and innovations.
Visitors can witness the technologies being explored to address manpower, ageing population, and climate change challenges, and conclude their visit by imagining the future with interactive Artificial Intelligence experiences and viewing detailed scale models of T5 and the larger Changi East development.
T5 is located within the 1.08 hectare Changi East development, which includes a third runway, new cargo complexes and supporting aviation and ground transportation infrastructure.
T5 will feature state-of-the-art systems and extensive use of technology and automation to improve operational efficiency and passenger experience. These include baggage-handling robots capable of operating in poor weather conditions, as well as video analytics and AI tools to track aircraft turnarounds and predict potential delays.
The terminal will also be powered by clean energy to reduce its carbon footprint. Its rooftop solar system – one of Singapore’s largest.
How to book your free tickets
Entrance is free. Those interested in experiencing ‘T5 In the Making’ are invited to register for a visit slot here. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and each booking can accommodate up to five persons. Visitors may reserve a visit slot up to 30 days in advance. Walk-in visits will be accepted, subject to available capacity.
The exhibition opens from 10am to 8pm daily, with last entry at 7.15pm. It is expected to take about 60 minutes to complete.
