LOT Polish Airlines has announced the launch of flights to Bangkok from Warsaw in line with expanding the airline’s long-haul network. This marks the first non-stop commercial link between Poland and Thailand, reducing travel time and boosting tourism and business.
The Warsaw-Bangkok route will be operated five times weekly and year-round, from 26 October 2026 using Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Afternoon departures from Poland to Thailand will take 10 hours and 20 minutes during the winter period, with the return morning flight lasting 11 hours and 55 minutes.
The airline said that long-distance connections are one of the key pillars of its growth strategy. The launch of the Warsaw-Bangkok route is another important step in the expansion of its global route network and Poland’s goal to become a central European hub. Thailand has been, for many years now, one of the most popular destinations among Polish travellers, said the airline.
Amenities for children on long-haul flights
Long-haul flights may be demanding, especially for children. The national carrier offers a specially designed amenity kit for the little ones (children up to 2 years old), including a soft bib, comfortable socks and a handy pacifier clip – with all the items neatly packed in a reusable, children-themed bag. For slightly older travellers (children between the ages of 2 and 12), LOT Polish Airlines has prepared a specially designed, aviation-themed bag with crayons, colouring books and LOT’s mascot.
Expansion in the US
The airline will commence flights from Warsaw to San Francisco on 6 May, operating four times weekly during the summer, using Boeing 787 Dreamliners to serve the tech hub and Central European demand. San Francisco joins Chicago, New York, Newark, Miami, and Los Angeles as yet another city available in carrier’s regular flight network
Transatlantic flights are of strategic importance for LOT Polish Airlines. In the past 12 months (Oct to Oct), 800,000 passengers travelled on all LOT flights between Poland and the United States
New flights in 2026
The airline had also announced new flights such as:

- A new seasonal route between Warsaw and Mallorca, with flights scheduled to begin on 30 May, operating three weekly services to Palma de Mallorca during the summer season.
- New direct flights between Bologna and Warsaw on 30 March, expanding its Italian network to four cities which are Milan, Rome, Venice, and Bologna.
Other new flight launches for LOT include those to Porto from 25 May, Almaty from 31 May, Heraklion from 30 May 30 whilst flights from Gdansk to Istanbul started on 14 January and flights to Malaga commenced on 15 January.
